Hey man thanks a lot for the feedback and rating! I'm glad you like this map =)
Thanks a lot!
Really nice ice-map a fucking must-have. good work!! :D
Thanks again for your comments man I really appreciate it! If I make another snow map I will defiantly get some custom textures, like you said there just aren’t enough that come with the game. I’ve never tried increasing displacements up to 7 but I will try that out, thanks for the tip!
Thanks again for the feedback man.
Thanks for the feedback Megadude.
Thanks for the comments plus. I don’t think I’ll be doing a remake of that map, I usually try to stick with my own designs.
Can´t get warm with the gameplay..
But once more a nice lookin icemap ;D
you think you coudl do a remake of : scoutzknifes_buzzkill !?

Pros: Really cool map. I like the brushwork, it really gives you the idea of icicles in a snowy mountain area. Strategy-wise, the map is really good as well, for it has different approach routes which is important for a GG/FY map. I noticed you placed more props around the map than other previous maps of yours, but, in my opinion, you could still add a few more pros to fill out empty spots. I dont really blame you though, because I know you dont have a large range of props for the snow/mountain/ice themes.
Cons: I liked your iniciative on using displacements for this map. It looks much better than having just a plain snow brush, but it could look better. It looks very bumpy and pointy, when actualy snow on the ground looks smooth and roundyish. Take some time on the displacements. I know its a really, REALLY boring process, but it will look much better to the eyes of the players. It looks like you used power 3 for your displacements. When I work with displacements, I like using power 5 or 7 to cover ground where players will walk over with a lot of Range on the Paint Geometry tool. I usually use power 3 for displacements on the "fills" of the map, like mountains outside walkable areas and the 3D skybox. Anyways, this is just how I like doing it... About the textures, try using some custom ones. There arent that many good standard snow textures because they were only used on cs_office. Just look around the internet for snow textures, ice textures, frozen rock textures and you can have a 100% custom snow map (or you can just make your own textures. Then it would be 101% custom...). Last but not least, the skybox. Sincerely, I didnt like one bit the one you used. It looks nothing like the theme you chose. Maybe you could get one with loads of clouds if your area is up in the mountains. I just found this skybox way too blue and unrealistic, but thats just me.
Improvements: Custom textures, different skybox and work on displacements. This is just a suggestion, but if you want, add some func_precipitation for snow. It will add that final touch to the map. If you do though, just be careful not to make the snow go through walls and ceilings.
Notes: Keep it up, man! Love your realeases!
THat's really cool love the brushwork on this one :D
A good looking fy map. I really like the structural work you've done. There were a few odd textures that seemed a bit misaligned to me but there were not very noticable when running around the map. Good job.
