Pure madness!
Okay, here it is!
TRRRRRrrrrrRRR!
Some friends of mine asked me to make the Aliens-Pulse Rifle firing sound for CS. I ripped and re-edited it for CS1.6 / CZ in 8bit/22.050kHz. The sound is a burst with its amazing flange and pitch effect. No single shot was fired in the movie and a cutout does not sound so good, as experience shows. So please don't critisize that! Otherwise try yourself.
The only SMG in CS that has that high firing rate is the FN P90, but also Kriss Vector (for P90!) would be possible! Both look futurisitic enough.
Recently I asked a 3D Modeller from the US, who is very talented and was involved in projects for movies. But his harddrive, where all his current 3D-Models where stored, crashed and he lost all of them. Damn it! :_(
The "Aliens" Sound Crew won the Oscar in the categories of 'Sound Effects Editing' and 'Visual Effects'! They really deserved it! The pulse rifles were created from Thompson SMGs with an attached forend of a Franchi SPAS-12 shotgun and a Remington 12 Gauge Model 870P receiver with barrel! So Q°°L, isn't it?!
I dunno which individual made this particular sound so here the full sound effects crew...
