What' your opinion on the games?
By ZGMF-X10A 3 years agoLately i've been hearing alot of BS about comparing COD WAW to COD 4.To me i see no difference(not a COD fan).I keep hearing "OMG COD WAW is a piece of shit. COD 4 was way much better" and "OMFG COD WAW IS SO GOOD HOW COULD U SAY THAT!!!".I'm tired of this crap and i want people to discuss why they dont like the COD WAW or why they prefer COD 4 more in this thread.
To compare the two is like to compare chalk and cheese.
They're both good. It's a personal preference. I like both, I prefer the sniping of CoD5 and the shootouts of CoD4.
Only think better in COD waw is sniping

lol, ok then! Let's get started.
Both games use the same engine and have very similar visual styles and graphical quality, so they are on par with each other there.
Although the incorporation of fire physics in WaW was good, but it did lack the realistic propagation. The gameplay on the campaign or story mode is equally satisfying. I enjoyed storming stalingrad just as much I enjoyed shooting Imran Zakhaev's arm off with a .50 calibre Barrett.
Speaking of sniping, both games have sniper mission as well as normal warfare and vehicle warfare, so again they are equilly matched.
I think, in essence, is all boils down to multiplayer. This is where Call of Duty 4, in my opinion, wins by only a slim margain. The whole principle and the guns are a lot more believable, mainly the customisation of weapons I mean.
Also, the UAV, Air-Strike and attack chopper are far more realistic that waves of dogs and such.

I actually like the graphic style on WaW better. However, both games are exactly the same really. I love them both, haha.
However, I do think Call of Duty 4 was a bit cooler in terms of customization, and the camo was a neat little extra as well. Doesn't really make a difference though.
all of the call of duty games are all the same from the very first one to WaW and probably modern warfare 2
Look here is the diference:
cod waw: old guns, very nice zombie mod, same engine like cod4, no weapons customization, fast online, pacific ocean ambiented place, edit: flamethrower.
cod4: nice guns, desert ambiented place, weapons customization, nice ending, delicious mission(all ghillied up), obviously nice online.
so i would say that cod4 is better coz of the online options, and storyline.
Easy, both of them suck, WaW just sucks more.
