Digitally distributed version of COD4.

I really need help with this one

Ok so I got CoD4 a couple of months ago and yeah it's been great but I just tryed to install the 1.6 patch and I get this:

Setup has detected that you have a digitally distributed version of Call of Duty(R) 4 - Modern Warfare(TM) installed. Please refer to your original vendor for a patch compatible with your version of the game.

No I am not using it through steam or anything it's just not working.

Please help!

    Are you sure it doesn't say "Digitally Distributed"?

    And you didn't buy it through Steam or some other online vendor?

    Because I'm pretty sure that's what that message means; that you bought it online or something. (Digital Distribution)

    Did you try reinstalling?

    Now I know my ABC's.
