Call of duty 4 not downlading

Ok so i got call of duty 4 of steam and it was dl perfectly but now its at 99% and it just stopped and when i try 2 play it, it say unable to connect to steam servers WTF!!!! plz help me

    Close steam, delete your .blob files and try again.

    Actually that happened to me too when I got cod4 from steam Just right click the file and delete and wait for like 2 or 3 hours then install it again thats what I did mate

    Do you have to use steam to play call of duty 4 online? I'm not that big of a fan of steam/valve, especially when Gabe Newell criticized the ps3 and its cell proccessor...

    no u dont need steam to play it i just bought its from steam

    no u dont need steam to play it i just bought its from steam

    Lol. I have a steam account, but its vac-banned and I heard about people buying new games that auto install onto their account which was vac-banned and then they couldn't play online.

    w00t for COD:4 Online without steam and vac-ban.

    Gabe newell has multiple cores inside his own body, thats why. And the fact hes right about the difficulty of building games for the PS3.
